White Stuff began life back in 1985, as the brainchild of two students, Sean Thomas and George Treves, who had the idea of selling men's outdoor clothing, in particular skiwear, fleeces and sweatshirts, in and around ski resorts in the French Alps.
The brand has grown from its humble beginnings, and White Stuff now sells via a website, a home shopping
catalogue, as well as in over sixty retail outlets. In 2003, Thomas and Treves also enlisted Sally Bailey, ex-Brand Director of Miss Selfridge, to help develop the White Stuff brand.
"White Stuff – ‘lovely clothes for lovely people’ - offers quality clothing and accessories for men and women, which are perfect for almost all aspects of life. The brand offers relaxed styling, lovely detailing and discreet branding, a refreshing and subtly fashionable alternative to the usual high street favourites. It’s Fashion for lovers – not victims."
As well as outdoor wear for men and women, White Stuff also sells a wide ranger of casual wear for men and women, as well as accessories.
The 'Sale Stuff' section on the White Stuff website shows all current price reductions, organised into 'His Stuff', 'Her Stuff' and 'Accessories' categories.
Standard delivery takes three to five working days and costs £3.95, and there is an option for express delivery that costs £7.95. However, standard delivery is free for orders over £100. White Stuff also offers free returns within 14 days of purchase. Although
catalogue and website orders cannot currently be returned to a store (or vice-versa) there are plans to allow this in the future.
"I'm always looking for something different to help me stand out from the crowd, and White Stuff's own range of clothing means I don't have to look like an indenti-kit fashion victim, like most of my friends."
